How to disable password autofill on Chrome

Find out how to remove the automatic entry of saved passwords that can cause confusion when logging in.

It may happen that you try to enter your new password, but your browser automatically adds the previous one. Here's how to remove the automatic entry and enter your information manually!


On your computer, open Chrome and follow the steps below:

  1. In the top right-hand corner, click on the 3 small vertical dots

  2. Select "Passwords and autofill"

  3. On the left, select "Google Password Manager"

  4. You'll be in the Passwords tab, so scroll down and click on "Settings"

  5. Disable "Offer to save passwords" by unchecking this statement
