You want to approve your employees' hours but the time entries are grayed out, so you can't do it? You'll find the explanations below.
1- The time entry has already been approved by someone else
Time entries that require approval are displayed in purple and show the "Unapproved" alert as follows:
If the time entry is no longer purple and no longer displays the "Unapproved" alert, it is very likely that it has already been approved.
You can click on the time entry to review it and then check the log. You will then see who approved it.
2- Manually created time entry (by a superior)
If you are in a superior role and manually add a time entry to your employee’s timesheet, it will be automatically approved upon creation.
It is therefore normal that you cannot approve it afterward and that the employee cannot clock in.
To identify whether it was created manually, you will see the “Created by” label.
3- The time entry respects the tolerable deviation specified in the parameters and is automatically approved.
If the automatic approval setting is enabled for the organization and the time entry falls within the acceptable variance range, it will be approved automatically. You will therefore not be able to approve it manually.
Please note that only the administrator role has access to the “Settings” section in Agendrix.
