An open shit is a type of shift that is not assigned to an employee when it is created. Open shifts are useful for finding volunteers (making a call to all 📣) to fill a work shift.
After you have created and published your open shifts, employees who meet the following criteria can volunteer:
Have the same location as the open shift
Have the same position as the open shift
Do not have approved time off
Do not have a scheduled shift that conflicts
*For Plus plan users, you can enable this by activating this setting
“Settings” -> “Schedule Management”
You can then assign the shift to the volunteer of your choice.
