How to enter an employee's chosen first name

Some of your employees may use a preferred first name rather than their legal first name.

Agendrix allows you to enter the employee’s preferred first name in their profile to simplify communication.

This name will appear on your schedule, in the employee list, and in Agendrix’s communication channels.

Please note that their legal first name will be retained in payroll reports for administrative purposes.


How to enter an employee's first name

You can make the change by going to “HR” > “Employees” clicking on the desired employee's account, and then adding one by clicking on the “Profile” section and then “Edit.”

Employees can also do this by going directly to their profile via the “My Profile” tab

​⚠️ If you try to make changes to an employee's profile and the fields are grayed out, it means that only the employee can make those changes.


Are you an administrator and want to enable the custom first name feature? Go to “Settings” - “Permissions Management”
