It may happen that you have unpublished changes, but the "Publish " button remains inactive.

To publish a schedule for future weeks, it is essential to create shifts for employees in advance. Without pre-defined shifts, the system will not activate the 'Publish' button, even if all other conditions are met.

This article explains the most common reasons and how to correct the situation!

1- Conflicting filters

More often than not, you won't be able to publish because you have filters activated on the left-hand side of your planner.

When you filter certain information, what doesn't match that filter becomes so-called background shifts. These shifts cannot be published until certain filters are removed or changed.

To do this, validate all active filters on the left and remove those that conflict.

Steps to Publish Future Schedules

To publish a schedule for future weeks, it is essential to ensure that shifts have already been created for employees. This step is mandatory for enabling the 'Publish' button. Follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the future week for which you want to publish the schedule.

  2. Create shifts for the employees within this week. Ensure all necessary shifts are properly defined.

  3. Once you've created the shifts, the 'Publish' button will become available. By creating shifts ahead of time, you’re effectively preparing the schedule, allowing the system to recognize it as ready for publication.

📌 Be sure to scroll to the bottom of the list 😉

For example, if you filter the position ''Cashier' and try to publish shifts that are assigned to the position ''Service'', you won't be able to do so

Simply remove your position filter and it will be possible to publish.

It's the same concept for locations. If you're currently on the ''Montreal '' location , but your employee has shifts assigned to the ''Quebec'' location , you will have to change location in order to be able to publish them.

If you encounter access issues while changing locations, verify your permissions to ensure you are authorized for that location. Use the location selector within Agendrix to switch locations as needed.

1.1 - Filters in conflict with shifts to be filled

❗️When you try to publish open shifts, make sure you remove the following filter:

2- You don't supervise the positions or the branch

To resolve these issues, verify that your permissions align with the location or position. If you are restricted, contact your administrator to ensure your profile includes the required access.

If you are a manager or supervisor, you may see shifts on the schedule, but not be able to edit or publish them.

You should therefore ask an administrator to adjust your permissions in your profile under " Roles and positions ", or ask the person who supervises the branch or position to publish them.

  • Use the step-by-step location selector guidance provided earlier to ensure you’re in the correct location.

  • If you still face issues after adjusting permissions, consider reaching out to support for further assistance.
