Manage Employee Hourly Rates

Add or modify hourly rates for employees. Manage different hourly rates and who can see them.

How to add hourly rates?

You can add hourly rates under the Roles and Positions tab in the employee's profile. It's possible to have a single hourly rate or multiple hourly rates based on each assigned position.

IMPORTANT
Hourly rates are not visible to employees. Only administrators see the hourly rates. By default, managers see the hourly rates and supervisors do not. However, it is possible to manage this access using custom roles.


A) Schedule rate changes

If you want to schedule a change in an employee's hourly rate in advance, you can do so as follows:

1- Go to the employee's individual profile, in the “Roles and positions” subsection, then click on “Schedule rate changes”

2- A window will open and you will have to choose between replacing the current hourly rates or modifying the current hourly rates by adding or subtracting a value

3- Choose whether this applies to a single location of the employee or all locations assigned to them

4- Choose whether the hourly rate will be the same for all positions or specific to each one

5- Select the effective date of the new rate(s)

Be sure to save, and you're done!

It is also possible to do this as a bulk action with several employees at the same time!


B) Unique hourly rate

Once a position is assigned to the employee, by default he will have a single hourly rate.


C) Multiple hourly rates

Once an employee has more than one position, you can select the ''Specific hourly rates for each assigned position'' option.

IMPORTANT
Whenever you apply changes to hourly rates, they will be effective for futur shifts

That ensures that past reporting will remain accurate.


D) Multi-level overtime

If you have multi-level overtime, you will also have the option to set a salary associated with both levels in the hourly rate section of your employee's profile.
