How to add "On-call" to a shift

You wish to indicate that your employee is on-call, but do not want their hours to be calculated in the total of hours for the work day or week? You can add "On-call" to an employee's shift by checking the box when creating the shift. This article explains how to add the "on-call' mention and how it will appear in the schedule.


Add the "On-call' mention when creating a shift

If you want to add a shift to an employee, but do not want their hours to be calculated yet because the actual shift length is unknown? Use the "On-call" mention by following the steps below:

1 - Click on the preferred date and create the shift

2- When the pop-up window opens, go to the "Shift" section

3- Check the "On-call" box

3- Click on "Create"

N.B

Once the shift has been created and published, you will see the total hours for that day at 0. The hours will be adjusted once the employee has clocked in and out.

"On-call" will also be visible on the shift in the schedule:
