Making your own schedules can sometimes be a puzzle...not anymore!
Simply create a schedule template, then let Agendrix do the work for you!
1- Create your schedule template
First, you need to create a schedule template with the needs to be filled.
To do this, simply create all the shifts to be filled in the "Open shifts" section at the top of the planner.
You can also use an existing schedule template.
❗️ATTENTION For the auto-assign to work, your shifts must not be published. Also note that reccuring shifts will not be assigned.❗️
2- Start auto-assignment
Once you've added all your shifts to the ''Open shifts'' section, you can simply launch the automatic assignment by clicking on ''Assign'', then ''Launch assignment''.
Then select the desired options from the list below:
And just watch Agendrix do the rest for you! 🎉
🕐 Assignment may take up to 1 minute
💡Note that you can also use position filters before assignment. So you could assign all the quarters of a position with certain criteria, then redo the operation for another position with different criteria.
1-Do not assign shifts during periods of unavailability
Prevents shifts from being assigned to employees who are not available to work (based on unavailability in their profile).
Non-assignable shifts will then remain as shifts to be filled.
2-Do not create overtime
This option allows you not to assign shifts that would create overtime for an employee's day or week.
Non-assignable shifts will then remain as fillable shifts.
3-Prioritize seniority
If this option is activated :
The employee's profile hire date will be used if defined, otherwise the employee's creation date will be used.
Older employees must be assigned hours on the schedule before newer employees. If the senior employee has availability or preferences, and the option to respect preferences is also selected, these will be respected first.
If the option is deactivated :
Shifts will be distributed as evenly as possible among the various available employees.
3- Differentiating auto-assigned shifts
Shifts that have been assigned via auto-assignment will have this symbol in the top right-hand corner
So you can easily spot them and make manual adjustments if you're not 100% satisfied with the auto-assignment.
4- Restore assignment
If you are not satisfied and wish to restart the assignment from scratch, you can proceed as follows:
❗️ATTENTION this action will restore the schedule prior to the first assignment. So if you've made several assignments, the whole thing will be lost❗️
Note that you can also use position filters to restore the schedule of one position, but not the other.
📌 Don't forget to publish your schedule when you're done!
