You can add your employees' hourly rates to their profiles under the “Remuneration” section. You can set a single hourly rate, assign different rates based on position, or even schedule an upcoming change.

IMPORTANT

Hourly rates are not visible to employees. Only administrators can view hourly rates. By default, managers can view hourly rates, while supervisors cannot. However, you can manage these access permissions using the custom roles.

A) Change a current rate

If you want to change the current hourly rate for your employee;

  • Go to the employee's individual profile, click on the “Remuneration” subsection, then click on “Edit active rate

  • A window will open, and you can enter the new information related to the rate as well as the reason for the change, if desired.

B) Schedule rate changes

If you want to schedule a change to an employee’s hourly rate in advance;

  • Go to the employee’s individual profile, click on the “Remuneration” subsection, then click on “Schedule a Rate

  • A window will open, and you can enter the new projected rate and its effective date.

C) Bulk Action

You can also use the bulk action feature to make the change for multiple employees at once!

D) Multiple Hourly Rates

Once an employee has been assigned more than one position, you can set a different hourly rate for each position or for each location. This allows you to add more than one rate.

When you switch to hourly rates by position, you can set a standard rate and an additional rate for each one.

IMPORTANT

When you make a change to hourly rates, it will take effect only from the date of the change. This ensures that past reports will not contain errors.

E) Remuneration history

To view changes to your employee's various pay rates, you can view the history by clicking “View History

D) Multi-level overtime

If you have multi-level overtime, you will also be able to set a salary for both levels in the hourly rates section of your employees' profiles.

Please see this article for more information on multi-level overtime.
