Written by Angevie Pié-Gaillardetz

Via the “Remuneration” section, you can add a default hourly rate, an annual salary and also schedule a future rate change for your employees.

The article below will detail the different ways to do this and what you have access to!

1. Default rate

In the Remuneration section of your employee's profile, you can add a default hourly rate as of today's date, schedule a rate change or switch to an annual salary.

1.1 New rate for the current date

To add a new default hourly rate for the current date:

1- Click on the "HR" - "Employees" tab

2- Select the employee of your choice

3- Tap on the "Remuneration" subsection

4- Click on the three dots (...)

5- "Edit active rate"

You can add the regular rate and overtime rate, as well as a reason if necessary.

1.2 Schedule upcoming rate

To add a new upcoming hourly rate for a future date:

1- Click on the "HR" - "Employees" tab

2- Select the employee of your choice

3- Tap on the "Remuneration" subsection

4- Click on the three dots (...)

5- "Schedule upcoming rate"

You can also add specific rates for each location right here:

If you add specific rates to some locations that you then want to delete, click on the three dots (...) and click on “Delete rate.”

1.3 Annual salary

By modifying your employee's current rate, you will be able to switch it to an annual salary:

2- View History

You will be able to see the history of hourly rates and, via the circled tab, the change log!

3. Creating an employee with a rate

You will be able to add a rate when creating an employee or by using an employee template.

4. Mass update of rates

You can adjust the hourly rate for several employees at once by going to "HR" - "Employees" - "Bulk action".

For full details on the mass action, click here!

Please note that annual salaries are not affected by bulk action changes.

It is also still possible to modify rates for past shifts and time entries as it was already possible to do before!
